    Samsung's Galaxy NX mirrorless camera
With the recent announcement of Galaxy NX, samsung cleared that they are going to stick with its famous mobile brand name galaxy and android software when company is taking more serious steps into camera world, more specifically the mirrorless interchangeable lens camera field. Out there competition is very strong in the mirrorless world with Sony, Panasonic, Olympus and Fuji are releasing world class mirrorless cameras, while big camera brands like Nikon and Canon showing signs of stepping back from compact interchangeable lens arena with the attempts to release small DSLRs. But with the release of new Andorid powered camera Samsung is trying to catch up with the competition, Really? Well we have to assume that with the pricing part of the new flagship. At price of $1700 for the kit (18-55mm lens) this model obviously will be looked overpiced compared to new releases from sony olympus etc. A fullframe lens A7 is available from Sony for addition of $300 more with kit lens and Olympus EM1 body for $1400 (wide choice of lenses are available from them). So that pricing of NX is surely based on recently released above cameras. I donno how successful Samsung will be with this model, wait and see (Ultimately their focus is not just Camera, its just another product area for this multi-product company)!

    Conclusion:-

With its excellent image quality and focusing power this NX camera from Samsung might satisfy some consumers, but, considering as an upgrade of very cheaper NX300 available for 1/3rd of its price and more excellent choiced around nowadays, its hard to see this one thriving competion from sony, olympus and panasonic.
