Panasonic Lumic CM1 is announced at Photokina 2014

Panasonic hasn't been to Smartphone market actively yet, atleast in international level apart from some trials of Eluga series. The Janapneese Electronic company out of nowhere just announced today earlier their most premium and a proper Smartphone to date with a hydrid android camera phone called Lumix DMC CM1. Like Samsung's Galaxy Zoom series and almost like Nokia 1020, this camera phone has small optical zoom ( you can see the lens bump in the pictures) and packs a 'one inch' MOS sensor which you can see in some high end point and shoot cameras. It is also packed with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with LTE and Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz processor etc like many top flagship smartphones on market now. CM1 also boasts 4K video recording which can be carried around in your pocket (well if your pocket is long enough :))

    Image and Video Samples:-
With 1" 20MP sensor and 28mm f/2.8 fixed Leica lens , CM1 smartphone camera is expected to capture good quality images. To add more to the cool feature , it has manual controls of aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc. Lets take a look at the official image and video samples - the real life sample will be a lot different and will depend on shooter's experience and ability. From below samples (they are cropped) they contain great details, good focussing

Will add later - stay tuned for some great 4K videos. The Lumix CM1 is capable of capturing 4K videos and 1080p as well. Its expected to be excellent as we know Panasonic is first to come up with 4K in still cameras ( remeber the great GH4).
